CAN I KEEP THIS UP?
Are there days you feel like you are flying and knocking out every task on your plate? Are there other days that feel like you are wading through muck with no hope of moving forward? Lately I have worked to become aware of my stamina and what I need to keep moving every day.
For example one Monday I was on fire working through many challenges and developing new workflows for a project. Yet after two nights of poor sleep, Wednesday was a total loss in regards to productivity. My brain was foggy and it was impossible to power through. I had to remind myself that I could either take a lot of time producing poor work that day, or I could take care of myself and what I needed (which was a nap!) and hit my flow the next day being highly productive again.
Once you are introduced to your stamina levels (which cycles across your lifespan) you understand better when your peak productivity times are daily and weekly. You can also correlate your stamina to your motivation. If you are demotivated, it’s difficult to keep a high level of stamina.
