BONUS: The TurningLeaf Story
In 2016 I left management consulting and started TurningLeaf TeamBuilding.
After years in project-based and consulting work I felt like I was watching a TV rerun that jumped the shark. With every new project I was thrown together with employees, contractors, and large consulting firms. Despite my excitement in starting something new, I would repeatedly watch a motley group kick off without grounding the team to set them up for success.
What would happen?
Sometimes confusion, often a slow start around communications, many meetings and escalations around miscommunication and a general feeling that the team took 3-6 months to get into the groove of working together. The result was an impact to the pre-set deadline of the project. There had to be a better way to get a project started on the right foot.
What could I do for customers?
I help teams perform better by resolving communication differences and increasing trust. Utilizing a 4-hour team interactive session, I identify team members’ natural communication strengths and preferences. I also work individually with each team member to improve their communication skills. Imagine maximizing and integrating individual communication styles to achieve a more powerful team interaction. I can also measure progress and provide monthly or quarterly updates on team development. Clear metrics to move the needle.
